Audomate Version 4.4 is a free DJ software that works with Windows operating systems Vista, 7, 8, and XP. After the software is installed, it automatically gives the language selection of English or German to navigate through the program's menus. Some of the features of Audomate include error-tolerant search, title prefade listing, pitch and normalizer, automix, and tag editor, to name a few. It is especially ideal for DJs who work with diverse audiences and many different music genres.

The Audomate DJ is an all-in-one double player and MP3 music management database package that easily plays playlists without breaks and with soft covers. The program only accepts playlists in the M3U format (computer file format that stores multimedia playlist), so users will need to convert their MP3 audio files if they don't already have playlists in this format.

The database can handle 50,000 or 100,000 or more items of data, with each item capable of being retrieved quickly via a new search engine, even if the title of the song or the artist's name is misspelled. Additional details can make a song search seamless, such as album, genre, favorites, lists, artist bios, and statistics for played tracks.

The CD cover browser takes the user quickly and visually to the target file and title information about the song, which then must be edited. Once the program's tag editor Audomate is integrated, the user can process these files individually or in groups. All entries are then converted into each MP3 file so that the revisions will be available for the next import. In addition, Audomate-MOBI (free Android app) on Google Play enables the user to control this DJ program on a smartphone or iPad.

Although the database works comfortably with the majority of MP3s and finds any song immediately, the majority of the program menus will still default to German. The program's interface is complicated to use and its menu items are poorly labeled, making it difficult for users to navigate. Unfortunately, Audomate offers few audio features, which is frustrating if the user is not fluent in German. Navigating the program through contextual clues is not a very effective solution because the user won't find many of the expected audio playback features. Since the program's functions are divided into a playlist manager and a DJ program, it only works when the DJ imports a playlist first. But the user must avoid clicking on the DJ program itself, as that will result in a run-time error 5 message from the menu item in the main program.

Audomate has some limitations and flaws. Its default player doesn't offer a lot of options like crossfading or equalizers, and it struggles to import files after the "Import" button is clicked. Anti-virus messages repeatedly pop up with "suspicious program" notifications. And occasionally, Audomate will label an MP3 song file as a malicious file. Overall, Audomate has an average performance rating of 2.5 stars and is recommended for German speakers only.
